Thomas Ulimwengu moves to Algeria
Tanzanian International striker Thomas Ulimwengu has joined Algerian top-tier side JS Saoura.
The club announced the deal on its official social media channels on Tuesday 25th December. He joins the team from Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman, a club he joined just in May.
Ulimwengu made a name for himself at African giants TP Mazembe where he played for five seasons alongside another Tanzanian Mbwana Samatta but he quit in 2016, joining Swedish second-tier side Athletic Eskilstuna. He was following in the footsteps of countrymate and personal friend Mbwana Samatta who also quit TP Mazembe to join KRC Genk in Belgium where he continues to shine.
However things did not work for Ulimwengu at Eskilstuna and he left the club to join Sloboda Tuzla, the first-tier club in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March this year. He spent only two months there and was soon back in Africa, joining Sudan giants Al Hilal Omdurman in May.
After just half a season in Sudan, the journeyman is now in Algeria.
