Former Ingwe coach tipped to take over Botswana

Former AFC Leopards SC Head Coach Rodolfo Zapata has been tipped to take charge of the Botswana National team, barely a month after returning to the country to take charge of Township Rollers.

Botswana failed to qualify for AFCON 2019 and according to reports coach David Bright could be sacked soon.

Zapata, a former Gaborone United tactician, has experience working in the country and is on the frontline to take up the job.

"There are conversations but nothing serious at the moment. David has a running contract and I have to respect that."  Zapata said.

Zapata returned to Botswana to join Township Rollers but is yet to fully take over as he is yet to get his work permit.
