28 Dec 2018, 14:10

Lobi Stars head coach Solomon Ogbeide has confirmed that the Nigeria Professional Football League champions will return to Ijebu for a camp in preparation for the CAF Champions League Group Stage.

Ogbeide spoke to the media while also having one eye on the official group draw that will occur on Friday, saying the club will repeat the trip to Ijebu where they had a successful preseason camp.

“We have decided to camp back in Ijebu Ode, knowing fully well, we got off the season from Ijebu Ode, we were there last season and also before the commencement of the ongoing CAF Champions League,” Ogbeide said.

“Right now we are going back to camp, to resume on Sunday, using only ten days for critical intensified training ahead of the CAF Champions League.”

Ogbeide emphasised that the location does not present the distractions of Makurdi.

“We decided to camp in Ijebu ode to avoid distraction, we want the boys to be focused for the task ahead of them.”

“One needs to fully focus, one also needs to be at a serene atmosphere where the boys need to be aware of the magnitude of the task ahead.”
