CAF CL Draw: Zambian players in all the four groups

Zambian teams have bid farewell to the CAF Champions League but however Zambian interest in the competition has remained in the form of foreign basesplayers.

The players left in the competition are Kennedy Mweene of Mamelodi Sundowns, Clatous Chama of Simba and Orlando Pirates duo of striker Justin Shonga and winger Augustine Mulenga. Others are TP Mazembe trio of Kabaso Chongo, Nathan Sinkala and Rainford Kalaba.

On Friday evenning draws for the group stage were made in Cairo Egypt. Mweene's Sundowns were drawn in group A alongside Lobi Stars of Nigeria, Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast.

Shonga and Mulenga will lead Pirates hunt for q Quarter final place in group B where they are placed alongside defending Champions Esperance de Tunis, Guinea side Horoya AC and FC Platinum of Zimbabwe.

The Mazembe trio are in group C alongside Club Africain, Ismaily and Constantine while Chama's Simba find themselves in group D with Africa's most successful club Al Ahly.
