Suwon FC sign Nigerian star on a one-year deal
Former Falkenbergs FF striker Chisom Egbuchulam is reportedly signed with South Korean club Suwon FC.
According to reports, Egbuchulam had a successful medical and is set to pen a one-year deal with Suwon with an option to renew the contract.
The 26-year-old Nigerian star was said to have been issued a visa during the course of this week and is set to leave for South Korea on Sunday, January 13 along with his representatives to finalise his transfer to the K League 2 side.
Georgian Club FC Torpedo Kutaisi was the first to make a move to sign Egbuchulam after it became clear that he was not going to extend his contract with the Swedish club at the end of 2018.
Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and Turkish sides Giresunspor and Osmanlispor were reportedly interested in signing him but it was said that the offer from Suwon was too good to turn down.
Egbuchulam is allegedly in line to earn US$600,000 in his first season with Suwon FC and stands to earn more if he remains with the club for the 2020 campaign.
Suwon finished seventh in the K League 2 at the end of the 2017/18 season having tallied 42 points from 36 games.
