OFFICIAL: Fabregas joins Thierry Henry at Monaco
The 31-year-old leaves England after a trophy-laden spell with Chelsea.
Wow. I’m honoured to announce that I will be starting an exciting journey with this wonderfully historic Club. @as_monaco will be my home for the next 3.5 years and I cannot wait to start this new challenge. #daghemunegu #NowItsTime pic.twitter.com/t2rB4Vqklh— Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) January 11, 2019
Fabregas provided 111 assists for teammates in the Premier League during his spells at Arsenal and Chelsea. He also assisted Andres Iniesta's winner in the World Cup final at Soccer City in 2010.
Fabregas will be reunited with former teammate Thierry Henry at struggling AS Monaco, and his job will be to add some much-needed experience to a talented but heavily youthful squad. Monaco travels to Marseille tomorrow night in a crunch Ligue 1 clash where Fabregas is likely to be involved.
Cesc will be sporting the number 44 jersey at his new club.
