Nigeria international Semi Ajayi is reportedly not interesting in leaving EFL Championship Rotherham United in the going ongoing January transfer window.
Ajayi has stressed the fact that his priority to help the club avoid relegation and that leaving the side will not be part of his plans going forward.
However, with eighteen months left on his current contract with The Millers talks on a new deal have not surfaced, fueling speculation that he could be leaving the club in January.
''I definitely see Rotherham as my long-term home,'' Ajayi told Rotherham Advertiser.
''This is the club that gave me my opportunity in the Championship two years ago. They showed even more faith in me by offering me a permanent deal after my loan spell from Cardiff City.
''We got promotion from League One and now I'm playing again in the Championship which has led to an international call-up. I owe a lot to Rotherham and I'm happy to be here.''
The former Arsenal U23 skipper has drawn praise for his performances for Rotherham United as well as the Super Eagles this season.
Ajayi is likely to be headed to Egypt in the summer as part of the Super Eagles squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
