Kevin-Prince Boateng has emerged as a shock transfer target for Spanish giants Barcelona this afternoon.
Fabrizio Romano has released the information on Twitter, via Gianluca Di Marzio, and it has the online football world in a frenzy. Romano's sources are usually reliable and it seems that the deal is very likely to go through.
The 31-year-old Sassuolo star has built a nomadic yet controversial career with stints in Germany, England, Spain & Italy during a colourful decade and a half as a professional footballer. Boateng has been playing as a number 9 for Sassuolo in the Serie A, despite being more of a natural midfield player. He has four goals and an assist from 11 starts in Serie A so far this campaign.
As ever, we will keep you posted with developments here if/when they arise.
