Chelsea has loaned Lucas Piazon to Serie A side Chievo until the end of the season with an option to make the deal permanent.
The Brazilian had been a member of Maurizio Sarri’s squad and was recently an unused substitute in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg victory over Tottenham. Piazon joined Chelsea in August 2011 and enjoyed an impressive first season at the club at youth and reserve levels, winning the FA Youth Cup and being named Chelsea’s Young Player of the Year.
Sky Sports Italia reports that the 25-year-old will have tests before completing the six-month loan deal.
