CAF CL: Orlando Pirates hit at Esperance for messing up changing room after draw
CAF Champions League defending champions, Esperance SC from Tunisia, made their frustrations known to their hosts, Orlando Pirates, after the two played to a barren draw on Saturday.
The champions dominated 59 percent of possession, attempted six shots but none on target as the resilient hosts kept their backline clean.
Being a champion is not just a punch line reserved for those who win titles,” Orlando started their rant “It is a state of mind and above all, a responsibility. Leaving a room in this state when you’re a guest in someone’s house says a lot about one’s mentality and responsibility as a champion.”
Esperance fans are currently serving a two-match stadium ban for causing chaos in their clash against Al AHly in last year's final.
The draw left both sides tagged on five points at the top of group B followed by AC Horoya and FC platinum for four and one respectively.
