With Juventus currently having an injury crisis in their defensive department, the club has moved to agree on a deal with Cristian Romero ahead of a summer move from Genoa.
The 3-3 draw against Parma over the weekend marked the first game in over eight years that Juventus played without their trusted BBC, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli. Juventus have certainly missed the services of the trio as they lost heavily in the Copa Italia, losing out 3-0 to Atalanta and surrendering a two-goal cushion against Parma.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have brought forward their plans to sign Romero, with the initial plan that he would join Juve in the summer of 2020. However, dire circumstances for the Bianconeri means they might want to get this over the line sooner.
