Napoli midfielder closes in on China move
Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik is close to agreeing on a move to Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang after 10 years with the Serie A club.
Reports have linked the hard tackling Slovakia international with a move away from the Stadio San Paolo with Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti confirming at the weekend that Hamsik had asked to leave the club.
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis paid tribute to the club legend telling reporters; “Hamsik asked to leave at a time when we are more than consolidates in midfield. This would not give us a problem and Ancelloti gave his approval.
“There is a big difference between the Chinese and the Neapolitans and now let’s see what happens. I have told Hamsik that this is his home. Even if he wants to come back, we’ll be happy to welcome him back.
“It’s a beautiful story. He has always done his duty. He is impeccable.”
