Dennis Oliech out of Gor Mahia's trip to Angola
Gor Mahia will be without the services of striker Dennis Oliech when they take on Angela's Petro Atletico for their second CAF Confederations Cup Group game on Wednesday 13 February.
According to an information on the club's portal revealed by chairman Mr. Ambrose Rachier , Oliech who missed the club's weekend derby win over AFC Leopards failed to recover on time and hence won't be available to represent the team.
"Oliech won't be travelling with the team to Angola. He hasn't recovered well and won't be in a position and won't be available to play on Wednesday," the chairman said.
In his absence, the club has drafted in youngster Geoffrey Ochieng in Oliech's place.
"We have included Geoffrey Ochieng in the travelling party to take up Oliech's place so the travelling party remains 18," Rachier added.
Apart from Oliech, the club had earlier confirmed that the duo of Jacques Tuyisenge and Philemon Otieno will not be travelling with the team due to suspension.
The team leaves Kenya on Tuesday 12 February at 11:30am with the hope that they can continue with their perfect start that saw them overcome Egyptian Champions Zamalek on match day one.
