Futaa's predicted PSG XI: Mbappe a likely scorer with Neymar & Cavani injured
We know that PSG attackers Neymar and Cavani have been ruled out tonight, but the visitors still have a decent squad to call upon when they face Man United.
Here's our predicted XI:
Gianluigi Buffon's experience in goal makes him one of the first names on the team sheet.
Across the back four, Thomas Meunier's injury means that young German Thilo Kehrer is likely to start on that flank. Experienced Brazilian Thiago Silva will captain the side, flanked by left-footed Frenchman Presnel Kimpembe. Coach Thomas Tuchel will have to pick between Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa for the left-back slot, but Spaniard Bernat might get the nod because of his superior attacking ability. Kehrer on the other flank is a central defender by trade, so he will provide the required defensive balance on the other side.
In midfield, versatile converted centre back Marquinhos will get the nod as the holding player alongside Marco Verratti, the creative heartbeat of the side, who is expected to be fit despite minor injury concerns ahead of kickoff.
Dani Alves' experience on the big occasion means he is more than capable of slotting into an advanced role on the right. Tall and talented German Julian Draxler will pull the strings behind the attackers, while Angel Di Maria will operate from the left flank with a point to prove at his old club.
In the absence of star winger Neymar and goal-machine Edinson Cavani, the scoring burden will fall on the shoulders of 20-year-old Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman already has three goals and four assists in the Champions League this season, and that's not to mention the 18 he has scored in 13 starts in Ligue 1.
