Kante speaks out after Chelsea humiliation

Kante speaks out after Chelsea humiliation

12 Feb 2019, 12:30

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has opened up following the embarrassing 6-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday evening.

Kante has vowed to learn from his side's mistake and to ensure the club won't suffer another similar result in the future. The defending champions were ruthless against the west London side, a game which saw Aguero yet again bag another hat-trick in the 6-0 win. Maurizio Sarri's men suffered the fourth defeat in as many as eight matches for the Blues, which included the 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

"It’s difficult to explain. They outclassed us. It was a collective failing. They outclassed us from the first minute to the last minute, and they made the difference in the first minutes of the first half," Kante told the club’s website.

"It was very difficult to come back from that. It’s a great disappointment and we have to react. It’s difficult to accept such a heavy defeat, but we have a lot of matches coming up to lift our heads and give us hope for good results at the end of this season," he added.

The result saw Chelsea drop to sixth on the log and will be facing Malmo on Thursday 14th in a Europa League clash.
