Nine Man Power dynamos beat Nkana in a dramatic Kopala derby
Powerful Power dynamos continued their good run at Nkana Stadium in the Kopala derby as they beat Nkana by two goals to nil on Saturday afternoon.
Power dynamos were looking to end their two game losing streak heading into the match while Nkana were looking for their first home derby win since 2016.
After a slow start to the match Power dynamos finally broke the deadlock 15 minutes into the match, Alex N'gonga with his first goal of the season.
The ndeke based side added a second goal 21 minutes into the second after N'gonga set up Cameroonian striker Christian Epoupa for his first goal of the season. Nkana had a chance to reduce the deficit after referee Derrick Kafuli gave the hosts a penalty. Kelvin Mubanga stepped up and Lawrence Mulenga saved it.
Double Red Cards
Power dynamos were given two red cards in a space of two minutes as they lost both their goalscorers N'gonga and Epoupa. N'gonga was later involved in a fracas with Nkana players before leaving the pitch.
Nkana kept pushing for a goal but Lawrence Mulenga was in top form and produced a man of the match performance to help Power dynamos to a two nil win.
