Manchester City have opened talks with defender Aymeric Laporte over a new contract, according to Sky Sports.
The Frenchman, who joined City from Athletic Bilbao for £57m in 2018 has established himself as a key member of Pep Guardiola’s team making 35 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League champions.
The 24-year-old’s current contract expires in 2023 and club are keen to reward him with a new contract.
