Futaa Italian Cup tip: Back in-form Milan to get away goals at Lazio

AC Milan's fine run of form, coupled with Lazio's inability to keep clean sheets, means that we are backing the away side to get crucial away goals tonight in the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg.

Match preview

Lazio's Serie A game on the weekend was postponed due to heavy rainfall, but before that, they had lost three in a row in the Italian top flight. They've also struggled for goals of late, having scored only twice in their last four matches across all competitions. They now face a massive week in their season with this semifinal first leg clash in the Italian Cup, followed by a derby against Roma in Serie A.

Milan has found some form, winning their last three Serie A matches and scoring three goals in each of those encounters. They've climbed into the top four, and look a good bet to get an important result away from home here and have the confidence of a side that is unbeaten in eight matches across all competitions.  Milan's last loss was to Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana on 16 January.

Team news & men to watch

Centre-back Mattia Caldara is nearly ready to return to action from the injury which has kept him out of action since signing for Milan. Even if he is available, however, it is unlikely he would be plunged straight into a Coppa Italia semi-final. Colombian defender Cristian Zapata remains out for the visitors along with long-term absentee midfielder Jack Bonaventura. Lazio is dealing with a number of injuries, with defenders Luis Felipe, Bastos, Wallace and Jordan Lukaku all likely to be missing.

Krzysztof Piątek has hit the ground running for AC Milan with five goals in four starts in Serie A and fellow new-boy, Brazilian youngster Lucas Paquetá is also finding form in new surroundings.

Futaa's bets

With AC Milan high on confidence and form, over 1.5 goals for the away side is priced at 2.55 and is a tempting bet we're going for.  Milan is available at 1.90 in the "draw no bet", meaning you'll win your stake if they win, and your stake will be refunded if they get a draw!
