Emerging Stars coach Francis Kimanzi has included three foreign-based players in the name of Ovella Ochieng, Alwyn Tera, and Joseph Okumu in his squad that is set to take on Sudan in the Under 23 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Under 23 AFCON qualifiers will also act as Olympic qualifiers with the squad set to report to camp on Monday 11th March ahead of the first leg that is slated for Wednesday 20th March 2019, at the Khartoum Stadium in Sudan. The second leg will be played on March 24, 2019, at the MISC Kasarani, with the winner set to face either of Nigeria or Libya in the third round.
Sutton United's Jonah Ayunga and Braintree Town midfielder Henry Ochieng who ply their trade in the English National League have been axed from the squad. Making an entry to the squad are Boniface Onyango and Moses Mudavadi.
