Asante Kotoko assistant coach Akakpo Patron has suggested that the team will not change its style of play despite two of their key players being hit by injury blows.
Emmanuel Gyamfi joined Richard Senanu and Maxwell Baako on the sidelines after limping off in their 3-0 victory of Nkana FC in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday, March 3.
Ghana Soccernet reported that Gyamfi scored Kotoko's second goal but immediately walked off the pitch in what looked like excruciating pain.
"Richard Senanu and Gyamfi have given their all to the team but their absence won’t really change our strategy going into the Al Hilal game. We will know the fitness level of Gyamfi today," Patron told Happy FM.
Martin Antwi replaced Maxwell Baako on Sunday in the starting line up and he impressed with Patron praising the former Inter Allies player.
"Martin Antwi did well yesterday because he started with us but he was out for some time. Scoring will boost up his confidence level to the next game," he said.
"Our next game won’t be an easy one because we played them before but we must win at all cost. We have to get a very convincing win to top the group.''
Asante Kotoko will host Sudan's Al Hilal in their next Confederations Cup fixture on Sunday, March 10.
