Key info & bets

Norwich vs Hull

A 1-0 home win over Swansea saw Norwich (W21, D9, L6) claim their third clean sheet in six league matches. The win also marked their second league win by a one-goal margin this calendar year and 12 in total this season - their most common winning goal margin this campaign, continuing a trend from last season, with 11 out of 46 games ending with that margin. Norwich is pushing for promotion and they can go top of the table here with a win. They are the division's top scorers with 72 goals, and they've scored in 17 consecutive games. They should get the job done here.

Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa

Neck-and-neck in eighth and ninth respectively, Nottingham Forest (W13, D14, L9) host Aston Villa (W12, D15, L9) for the 66th time in their history. But with the playoff places within reach, both teams could do without a repeat of their 5-5 draw in the reverse fixture. Forest now sit just two points behind playoff rivals Derby after a fine run of form, while Aston Villa has won consecutive games to strengthen their own playoff push hopes. Villa won the Birmingham derby last time out thanks to a Jack Grealish goal, and he'll be the centre of attention here again, as he has been the entire week. This should be a high-quality clash.

QPR vs Rotherham

A 0-0 draw with Stoke City on Saturday made it just one win in twelve league matches for QPR (W1, D3, L8). A big issue for the Londoners is a lack of goals in recent weeks, with the home side drawing a blank in three of their previous four league matches. They're also struggling defensively, with only four sides conceding more goals than QPR in the division. Visitors Rotherham are the draw specialists, with 15 stalemates this season, and five of those have come in their last seven outings. They're scrapping for survival and they might be able to get a draw here, considering QPR's tendency to concede goals.

Derby County vs Stoke City

Frank Lampard's Derby County side still has faint hopes of reaching the playoffs but they must arrest a string of poor results, starting here. Each of visiting side Stoke's last eight matches has produced under 2.5 goals, indicating that it might be tempting to back that outcome again. Derby can leapfrog Bristol City into 6th here, and that incentive might be enough.

FUTAA BETS: Derby win

Middlesbrough vs Preston

Only seven points separate Middlesbrough in 5th and Preston in 11th, although Preston has played an extra match. A win here would keep Boro very much in the mix for a playoff finish and cast serious doubts over Preston's own playoff hopes. A significant 74.29% of Middlesbrough's league matches have produced under 2.5 match goals. Middlesbrough is undefeated in their last 13 matches against Preston in all competitions, and for that reason, we are backing a low-scoring home win.

West Brom vs Swansea

West Brom will be looking to solidify 4th position on the log with a win here against mid-table Swansea City. A run of three straight matches without a win has seen West Brom lose ground on the automatic promotion spots. Their last ten home league games have produced an indifferent record (W2, D6, L2), and only five other teams have conceded more than the ‘Baggies’ (25) in front of their own fans. They've scored 68 goals this season, a tally that only Norwich can better. We are backing more entertainment here.
