Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Copper Queens through to next
Zambia Women National Team (Copper Queens) has progressed to the second round of qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games following the withdraw from the competition by Angola.
Zambia were paired with Angola in the first round but the Angolan's withdrew meaning Zambia has been granted automatic passage to the second round where they will meet Zimbabwe in April.
First and second leg matches have been fixed for 1-9 April 2019.
Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Kenya South Africa and Zimbabwe are on bye for the first round. The winner of the qualifications at the end of the fifth round will earn automatic qualification to the final tournament next year in Tokyo, Japan, while the runner up will be engaged in a play off with their counterparts from CONMEBOL.
