Silva extends Manchester City contract

13 Mar 2019, 22:15

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has signed a new contract with the Premier League leaders until the summer of 2025.

The Portuguese who has made 93 appearances for the Citizens, joined City in the summer of 2017. Contract extension talks between him and the club have been on for some time and now a deal has been reached with the midfielder saying he is determined to add more silverware to his collection over the coming campaigns.

"It’s an honour to extend my deal with Manchester City. This Club offers everything a player needs to fulfill their ambitions and there’s nowhere else I want to be," Silva told the club's official website.

“As soon as I heard City wanted me to stay longer, my mind was made up. I love the Club, the manager, the players, and the fans. The style of football we play here excites me, and I am determined to win more trophies. City gives me the best chance of doing that.”
