As many as ten players eligible to represent Nigerian teams were called up for international duties on Thursday, March 14.

England U-21 manager Aidy Boothroyd announced his squad list for this month's games with four players of Nigerian descent included in the 26-man list.

With Poland and Germany expected to come to town, the young Three Lions are expected to use those games as preparation ahead of this summer's U-21 Euro finals.

Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori currently on loan at Aston Villa and Derby County respectively got the nod of the manager thanks to their blistering forms this season.

Former Liverpool striker, Dominic Solanke now with Bournemouth also made the cut while Everton's Ademola Lookman was also included.

In the U20 ranks, coach Paul Simpson included former Super Eagles invitee, Eberechi Eze in the team which faces Poland and Portugal respectively in the European Elite league games while Manchester City loanee, Lukas Nmecha was snubbed this time.

In the U19 category, there were at least three players of Nigerian descent called up by manager Keith Downing in the 21-man team aiming to seal their place at this summer's U19 Euro finals.

Arsenal budding star Bukayo Saka, Tottenham's Timothy Eyoma and Manchester City's Felix Nmecha were all among the squad who play the Czech Republic, Greece, and Denmark this month.

Arsenal duo Folarin Balogun and Xavier Amaechi made the cut in the U18 section when they take to the field in the UAE Sport Chain tournament.

They will play Japan, Czech Republic, and Mexico respectively.
