Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Ernst Middendorp, believes that Amakhosi’s Absa Premiership meeting with SuperSport United will decide the top positions.
Sitting at position seven, the Glamour Boys travel to Nelspruit with a mission to go level with the fifth-placed SuperSport. But United have their own higher ambitions to rise to second if they claim victory tonight.
Chiefs’ German coach, Middendorp knows very that United are a team with four wins from the last five.
“The match against SuperSport United will play a role in deciding who will be in the running for top league positions,” Middendorp said on kaizerchiefs.com.
“It promises to be a tough fixture against an opponent that’s on a good run. SuperSport United have a good squad, but we are here to perform and do what we need to do.
“I’m satisfied with our preparations. We just need to walk onto the pitch and do what we have practiced during the week.”
Some exciting news for the clubs fanbase has been the promotion of Njabulo Blom last week, and coach Middendorp has confirmed the 19-year-old who nicknamed ‘Stopper’ has traveled with the side.
“Njabulo Blom has been included in the traveling squad. I’ve noticed a positive change in his game and persona, which is good. He’s showing signs of being ready to make his first-team debut,” concluded the 60-year-old.
