Solskjaer reacts to Man U-Barcelona draw
After the Champions League draw was done, United landed Barcelona where they will host the Catalans before travelling to Camp Nou for the second leg. Solskjaer led the Red Devils to overturn a 2-0 deficit by beating Paris Saint Germain 3-1 in the reverse fixture to book a slot in the quarters. However, the Norwegian says United has to be at its best if they're to go past Barcelona.
"I’ve had so many texts from friends saying this year is going to be the year that we’ll get through because of my number, 20, and it being 20 years ago. We’re off to the Nou Camp again!" he said.
"It was the biggest night I’ve had in football. Of course, for all of us in that team, it was an unbelievable night. It’s a great stadium… and, of course, we met them in the group stages as well that year – 3-3 each both home and away," added Solskjaer while reflecting on the victory over Bayern Munich in May 1999.
