Juventus suffered their first league defeat of the season going down 2-0 against a spirited Genoa side at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Sunday.

Two second-half goals from Stefano Sturaro and Goran Pandev were enough to hand the home side all three points as the Bianconeri struggled to create chances without Cristiano Ronaldo.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men had gone 28 league games without defeat, winning an impressive 24 with three draws before the shock loss.

The defending champions still hold a commanding lead at the top of the Serie A standings with 18 points ahead of second-placed Napoli.
