Manchester City will face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium next month.

Wolves will face their Premier League rivals Watford in the other semi-final match which will be played on the weekend of 6-7 April. Man City staged a 3-2 comeback to seal their semis fate while Watford overcame Crystal Palace and Wolves shocked Manchester United to seal their date at Wembley.

Background information about the semi-finalists

  • Brighton have won eight of their last nine penalty shootouts in all competitions, winning each of the last three in the FA Cup.
  • Brighton have qualified for the FA Cup semi-final for just the second time in their history - previously doing so in 1983 when they finished as runners-up.
  • Wolves have won each of their last three meetings with Watford in the FA Cup, most recently doing so in January 2008 (4-1 in the fourth round).
  • This will be the first meeting between Brighton and Man City in the FA Cup since January 1983, when the Seagulls won a fourth-round tie en route to the final.
