20 Mar 2019, 14:30

Following news of the passing of ex-Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Arthur Bartman, former Amakhosi goalkeeper coach, Rainer Dinkelacker, has paid tribute to Bartman.

Bartman, aged 43, was announced dead by his club Maritzburg United last night, prompting a wide outpouring of grief in the South African football fraternity.

Chiefs’ legendary German goalkeeping coach, Dinkelacker, who was responsible for unearthing the likes of Itumeleng Khune, Rowan Fernandez, Reyaad Pieterse, and Brilliant Khuzwayo, made rare media engagement to pass his condolences to Bartman.

“Really sad, I can’t believe it. Arthur was one of my best keepers. Condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Arthur. I will always remember you. Your former goalkeeper coach, Rainer Dinkelacker,” the retired German told Soccer Laduma.
