Match Previews, Facts & Bets

England vs the Czech Republic

Jadon Sancho is widely expected to start on the right-hand side for England if, as expected, Marcus Rashford fails to shake off an injury. The Czechs are under new management and are likely to adopt a cautious approach here, and that could make for a cagey match. Indeed, England has kept clean sheets in three of their last five matches. Skipper Harry Kane has scored 15 goals in his last 17 Three Lions starts, and that undoubtedly makes him one to watch, alongside exciting new talents Jadon Sancho and Declan Rice who both have a good chance of starting.

Bear in mind that seven of England's last ten home wins have been accompanied by a clean sheet.

Moldova vs France

Didier Deschamps' France team suffered an agonising defeat in the final of this competition on home soil back in 2016 against Portugal, but they made up for that in some style by galloping to the World Cup title last year in Russian. Now, the focus will turn to continental domination for a young, hungry, balanced side packed with stars of all ages. Moldova has on only three of their last 29 fixtures and all were against San Marino. In contrast, France has lost just two of their last 25 matches. It really is David vs Goliath here.

Portugal vs Ukraine

Unbeaten since their World Cup exit at the hands of Uruguay (W3, D3), defending European champions Portugal, ranked sixth in the World by FIFA, has now lost just two games since the start of 2018 The goals have dried up somewhat, though, with six of their last nine matches seeing them score only once. Cristiano Ronaldo will return to the fold, however, which will facilitate a return to a 4-4-2. Joao Felix is pushing for a start alongside him, essentially vying with Andre Silva for that place. With six of Portugal's last seven matches at the Euros producing under 2.5 goals, we expect more of the same.

FUTAA BET: Under 2.5 goals priced at 1.71
