Former Leopards, Chemelil star Kizito reveals targets, lauds FKF
Former AFC Leopards and Chemelil Sugar player Bernard Kizito has revealed his targets with his new outfit St Monica Bondo Kosiemo.
Kizitio is in charge of the school team after he left his job in Mwanza Tanzania and aims to achieve the best with the Migori-based youth team. The former footballer and now the coach has experience in school games and managed to lead his former side, St Juliane, to the finals where he was in charge of both the boy's and the girls' teams.
"With the experience that I have, I hope to lead this team to the national finals. Indeed there is talent within the squad and we hope to get maximum support from the Principal Mr Azaria Gowe. What I know, it would not be easy at all but we hope to navigate the navigate any kind of competition thrown at us successfully. This is the Nyanza region and as you know there is stiff competition and any team can cause you problems." Kizito said.
"Building a team that has got this pool of talent and young people ready to showcase it is quite easy. We managed to reach the finals of Homa Bay Open tournament where the boys lost to Nyandiwa TTC after post-match penalties while our ladies lost at the ultimate stage too where they fell to Nyanza champions Kobala Secondary School with only a solitary goal separating our girls and the champions. That shows me we are in the right direction" the former Oserian and Mathare United player added.
On matters national sports, Kizito feels that the Kenya Football Federation is running the game the way it should be and hopes Kenya will achieve better if the current leadership is let to run the game independently.
"I am happy the way football is run in the country and I take the opportunity to laud the work of the federation's president Nick Mwendwa and his deputy Doris Petra. With their leadership we will go far I strongly believe" Kizito explained.
Kizito further targets more achievement with Alliance Sports Academy in Tanzania once he returns after the current off-season concludes. The team participates in the Vodafone Premier.
