Ghana and Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban was left amazed by his debut international goal against Harambee Stars on Saturday night.
Ekuban, who is on loan to Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor, told GhanaSoccernet.com that he is still in denial that he has actually scored one goal for the Black Stars on an international stage. Ekuban came from the bench to seal the 1-0 win for Ghana over Kenya and ensured the West Africans topped Group F in the final AFCON Qualifier match in Accra.
"It's quite amazing. The first thing, as a striker, you want to do is to score so when you get the opportunity and you score it feels like it is not even real. I am really happy," he said.
Both nations had already qualified for the continental bonanza set to be held in Egypt but the Black Stars got the chance to avenge on the loss Kenya inflicted on them in the first leg encounter in Nairobi. They were beaten 1-0 too.
