Burundi will be the newest team to participate in the AFCON 2019 championship in Egypt.

The Burundians managed to draw 1-1 against Gabon and finished second to Mali in their Group C. The CECAFA nation had to withstand a challenge put in front of them by the Gabonese who boasted of the return of Arsenal's forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Cedric Amisi scored the goal that ensured Burundians booked their Egypt slot but an own goal by Omar Ngandu inside stoppage time nearly scared them. Meanwhile, South Africa have to avoid a defeat against Libya if they have to seal their slot in a game that will be played in Tunisia due to security volatility that has gripped Tripoli.

Tanzania, who play already qualified Uganda must win their encounter in order to join Kenya, their CECAFA competitor to board the Egypt bound train. There are five teams that will have to confirm their places on Sunday as the final group matches are held.
