Ghana forward David Accam has been nominated for the Major League Soccer Player of the Week after what was reported to a great display of football when Philadelphia Union won 3-0 over Columbus Crew on Saturday, March 23.

Accam scored a brace for his side which he went on to dedicate to his father as Union defeated Crew to record their first win of the season at Talen Energy stadium.

However, the Ghanaian striker is up against tough competition for the accolade with Kenny Saief of FC Cincinnati, Los Angeles FC midfielder Walker Zimmerman and Orlando City's Sacha Kljestan.

David Accam shared that he expects a better season in 2019 after struggling since joining from Chicago Fire last season.
