Spanish football expert Sid Lowe has claimed that Barcelona are not ready to let Philipe Coutinho leave in the coming summer transfer window.
The Brazillian attacking midfielder has failed to live up to expectations that greeted his arrival and Manchester United are understood to be watching his situation at Camp Nou. Barca splashed out £142m on the Brazilian star in January 2018 to land the former Liverpool man after a very long wait. For Coutinho to leave, Lowe argues, the Catalan club as to find a suitable replacement.
"I think Coutinho stays unless they can find someone who will pay a sufficiently high transfer fee to take him that he would be happy to go to. I think if they can find a way to make this happen without losing to much face, without it getting messy and unpleasant, then they would welcome that opportunity, yes." Lowe said on the Global Football Show podcast.
Barcelona will face Man United at Old Trafford in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals in April.
