Arsenal have moved to the 3rd position after beating Newcastle United 2-0 at Emirates on Monday night.

Aaron Ramsey's celebrations were cut short by the offside flag after he had slotted the ball home from ama ca Alex Iwobi cross into the box. All this happened after the Gunners had won a corner and Newcastle failed to clear the mess from their area.

Ramsey was not to be denied though in the 30th minute when he managed to plant the ball with a low drive into the corner. Lacazette, before setting up Ramsey beat Lejeune Arsenal turned their domination into something useful.

Ritchie made a stunning save that kept Newcastle save from Arsenal's attacks. the defender made a goal-line clearance after Dubravka had been beaten at the moment Ozil and Lacazette were building up Arsenal's attacks in the first minute of added minutes before the break.

Referee Anthony Taylor did not consider Arsenal's appeal for a penalty in the 65th minute when Dummett saw the ball hit his arm as he tried to clear the ball away with Lacazette lurking dangerously.

Lacazette doubled Arsenal's lead in the 83rd minute after Aubameyang flicked the ball over for him. lascelles made the wrong decision of letting the ball bounce before he made any clearance. Lacazette stole the ball and lifted it over the on-coming Dubravka.
