CAF CC: Nkana bow out following loss in Tunisia

Nkana have been booted out of the CAF Confederation Cup following a two nil loss away in Sfax at the hands of CS Sfaxien.

The Zambian giants went into the match with an advantage of a 2-1 home win and needed to avoid defeat to go through to the semifinals while Sfaxien only need a one nil win.

The hosts started well and took the lead just seven minutes into the match, Firas Chawat with a beautiful header from a corner.

Nkana started pilling pressure looking for the equaliser. Hassan Kessy had the best chance of the match but he failed to hit the target with only the keeper to beat from close range.

Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba was pulling the strings in the middle of the park and sent a beautiful ball into the box but Ronald Kampamba's header went wide.

Kelvin Malunga on the other was also called into action a number of times but he was equal to the task. Nkana nearly leveled matter four minutes to full time but Kampamba's header hit the inside of the post and came out.

Alaa Marzouki put the game to bed in the 90th minute after getting on the end of a Chawat pass to finish with easy from close range. 2-0 the match ended sending CS Sfaxien through to the next round 3-2 on aggregate.
