Liverpool front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino was on target as well as Virgil van Dijk. Militao scored the only goal for the hosts, which was only consolation for them against powerful English Premier League side.
Liverpool had the ball in the net as Salah spun in the box and then crossed for Mane to turn in at the back post, but the flag goes up for offside. The referee went to check the VAR. Well, it wasn't offside and Liverpool had scored totally against the run of play. The VAR took a while but it got the decision right. Mane was clearly onside as Salah played the pass and he came sliding in at the back post to finish.
Liverpool extended their lead. Firmino won the ball in defence and worked it on for Alexander-Arnold, who passed forward for Salah. He was through on goal and slid it past Casillas.
A deserved consolation for Porto as Militao rose to meet a free-kick and headed past Alisson from 10 yards out.
First, it was Mane, Salah, and then Firmino. Liverpool's front three were all on the scoresheet. Henderson whipped in a fine cross from the right corner of the box and Firmino jumped and planted a low head past Casillas.
Liverpool were running away with this as Milner curled in a corner, Mane flicked on at the near post and Van Dijk headed in from six yards out.
Liverpool will now meet Spanish giants Barcelona in the semi-finals of the tournament, who eliminated Manchester United on Tuesday night.
