The Junior Stars started with successive defeats to NT Terres de L’ebre Sud and Junior CF but won their final group stage game against Eastern FC that enabled them to proceed to the consolation knockout phases of the competition. They beat Nevata in the round of 32 while penalties were needed to separate them from CE Flaca after a barren draw in regular time. Kenya Under 15 team lost 1-0 to ASM Belfortaine in the quarterfinals hurdle.

Despite playing in an Under 16 tournament, Ouma picked up positives from the tournament, "This was a very positive outing for us. Getting three wins against some of the best academies in Europe is no mean feat. The experience was also good for the development of the players. Now we are back and we have a chance to better our strengths and work on our weaknesses."
