Borussia Dortmund suffer massive title blow

Nine-man Borussia Dortmund suffered a massive title blow on Saturday after going down 4-2 against bitter rivals Schalke in the Revierderby on Saturday.

Dortmund came into the match needing a win to overtake Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga standings with three games to go.

Despite Mario Gotze giving the home side an early lead, Schalke took the lead going into the break and added a third goal in the 62nd-minute in between red cards for Marco Reus and Marius Wolf.

Axel Witsel pulled one back for Lucien Favre's side five minutes from time only for Breel Embolo to add a fourth for the visitors two minutes later.

The loss could prove costly for Dortmund, who now trail Bayern by a point, having played a game more with three games to play.
