After their 1-1 draw against Chelsea, Luke Shaw revealed that Manchester United players were 'gutted' to drop points in a crucial game in the race to finish in the Premier League top four.

Former Chelsea midfielder, Juan Mata fired United ahead inside 11 minutes after a brilliant chip from Romelu Lukaku found Luke Shaw who squared the ball to the Spanish midfielder. Marcos Alonso equalized for Chelsea to capitalize on a David De Gea howler following a long-range shot from Antonio Rudiger. United remain sixth with 65 points, three points adrift of the top four spot.

In an interview with MUTV after the draw, Shaw revealed how United players reacted to the Chelsea draw, "Yeah of course, and gutted. The first half was brilliant. We had a game plan and stuck to it. We had chances, more than one and we didn't take them. It's the moral of our season really. We've had so many chances and to take them and that's what's cost us again today.

"The first half was good, but second half we lacked urgency. We knew we needed to win the game, and I think we were just maybe hoping for that bit of luck that might have brought us a goal. Really the talent within our team we maybe should have been pushing on more."

United next face Huddersfield Town on Sunday 5th May while Chelsea next face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday 2nd May.
