Turkish club Alanyaspor suffered a road crash that included the killing of Poland star Josef Sural. Newer reports now confirm that Ghana’s Isaac Sackey got injured in the same incident.
As reported on Futaa, Polish international Sural tragically lost his life, and a leading Ghanaian publisher has now confirmed that Berekum-born Isaac Sackey was also in Alanyaspor’s vehicle that was caught in the accident.
“Ghana midfielder Isaac Sackey has been hospitalised in Turkey after his club Alanyaspor were involved in a deadly accident that killed one of his team-mates Josef Sural,” Ghanasoccernet.com wrote.
The publisher added more details that reveal Sackey is otherwise not at all seriously harmed, though he requires trauma counseling.
“Ghanasoccernet.com contacts at the club have revealed that Sackey survived the accident without suffering any major injuries but has been seriously traumatised by the death of Sural.
“Sural, a striker for Alanyaspor and the Czech national team, died at the hospital where he and six of his teammates were taken after the crash. He was on the bench throughout the match,” concluded GhanaSoccerNet.
