Medeama coach Samuel Boadu has heaped praise on his side after they beat Berekum Chelsea 2-1 to top the Northern Zone of the Special Competition.

Medeama came from a goal down to clinch the vital victory, in a match that was played at the Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday. 

"Yes, it is amazing and I will thank my players and the technical team for this win because they did a massive job," Boadu said in his post-match interview.

Boadu added: "They played well according to my instructions and we are aware that any team facing Medeama SC prepare so well since they know the type of game we play."

The hosts took the lead in the  27th minute through Solomon Oblitey, but Tahiru Awadu pulled one back for the visitors in the 36th minute. 

With two minutes to the break, Ivorian Kalibo Dedy Toussaint scored a brilliant goal, which proved the eventual match-winner to give the visitors an important win. 

The victory takes Medeama two points above Asante Kotoko and will face Eleven Wonders in their next game on Sunday 5th May.
