Breaking: Bala leaves Kwara United

Kwara United head coach Abubakar Bala has resigned from the NPFL side.

The news broke via leading Nigerian publishers Brila this afternoon, just under 24 hours after Kwara played to a home goalless draw with Lobi Stars.

“Abubakar Bala has resigned from his position as the head of the technical crew for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Kwara United,” wrote Brila.

"The coach met with his coaching staff yesterday night and informed them about his decision to resign, he also spoke with the team senior players about his departure,” an identified source told Brila.

Bala leaves the Harmony Boys on seventh place after only five wins, five draws and seven losses in 17 games. The Western-based side next take on Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
