Enyimba's Anaemena warns there are still five more games

Influential Enyimba FC defender Ifeanyi Anaemena is delighted with the club’s position, but warns that the club’s ultimate ambition hasn’t yet come true.

Enyimba, on a high wave after thrashing Enugu Rangers 3-1 last Sunday, are second with just three points behind the Flying Antelopes.

The People’s Elephant two-goal hero Anaemena has moved quickly to inspire the club to keep grounded.

“It’s a fantastic win for us and very encouraging for me. I thank God for the superb action that I displayed, my goals and my defensive contribution, I thank him for the performance,” he said to Nigeria Professional Football League’s website.

“The top-three slot is not in the bag yet. We know we have to work harder because it remains five matches to go and every team is playing good in this our group so you have to try to keep up your game and make sure you dominate in every match you play so we’re still working hard to meet up with the slot,” added the 27-year-old.
