Chelsea will miss the services of Ngolo Kante when the Blues host Eintracht Frankfurt for the second leg of the Euefa Europa League on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.
The French international is also set to miss the club's final English Premier League match away to Leicester but might be available for the finals of the Europa League if the team qualifies.
According to manager Maurizio Sarri, the injury is not serious but he needs to recover fully.
"He had a problem with his hamstring,’ reported Sarri at his pre-match press conference. ‘It was not very serious but he needs to rest for a couple of weeks. We can try to recover him for the final if we make it," he said during his pre-match conference.
The Blues have a crucial away goal and will be hoping to win the second tie and qualify for the Baku finals.
The manager is aware of the threat the Germans pose, rubbishing the 'favourites' tag.
"It’s not easy because we have to play a dangerous team, as we saw in the first leg. They are dynamic, aggressive and dangerous,".
Chelsea will face either Arsenal or Valencia in the finals if they go past their latest hurdle in Frankfurt.
