Nigerian football legend Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has called for better commitment to developing Nigeria’s future talent.
The former PSG and Bolton Wanderers attacker revealed that he is troubled by what he is certain are talents falling through the cracks.
“I usually feel bad when talented players are not properly harnessed to help them discover their talents. We need more Okochas in this country,” Okocha told Brila.
“They are spread in the streets. What they need is a goal driven program.”
The Enugu-born legend, who closed his international career with 75 appearances and 15 goals, concluded by warning that any continuous neglect may cause the Super Eagles to pay the price in the future.
