Ruben Loftus-Cheek hit a personal milestone on Thursday, May 9 after scoring his tenth goal of the season as Chelsea reached the UEFA Europa League final.
The Blues drew 2-2 on aggregate with Eintracht Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge and had to rely on penalties to see them to meet Arsenal in Baku for the final.
The 23-year-old has put on some impressive display this season and his goals come from starting 16 games in 39 appearances.
Loftus-Cheek has seen himself become a fan favourite with many calling for Maurizio Sarri to give him regular starts.
Good news came for Chelsea when the England international announced that he would not be departing from the club in the summer.
Loftus-Cheek has also become the first Chelsea Academy player to reach double-figure goals in a season since Graham Stuart back in the 1992/93 campaign.
Stuart found the back of the net nine times in a league and a lone goal in the league cup that saw them finish 11th in the first Premier League season.
Loftus-Cheek went home six times for Chelsea in the Premier League and approximately four times in the Europa League while providing a total of six assists.
The Blues have seen a number of players come through the youth ranks since Stuart scored 10 goals in a season but many of them have been defenders.
The most prominent player is legend John Terry who's best in a single season was eight goals in 2004/05 and 2014/15.
