For the third consecutive time, Kariobangi Sharks made it to the final of the Shield Cup after overcoming KCB FC 1-0 in a semi-final clash staged at Kenyatta Stadium-Machakos on Sunday 12 May.
The win booked the William Muluya coached side a place in the final against Bandari FC who had earlier whitewashed SS Assad 6-1 at the same venue.
In the game, Abdallah Hassan bagged a brace with Yema Mwana, Darius Msagha, William Wadri and Wycliffe Ochomo scoring the other goals as Athman Bori grabbed the consolation for Assad.
Bandari emerged winners when they last came up against Sharks but will be aware of their Super Cup loss at the hands of the same opponents in Tanzania.
The winner of the tournament takes home a KES 2 Million prize money as well as a chance to represent Kenya in the 2019/2020 CAF Confederations Cup; Sharks having been eliminated in the last preliminary stage by Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the last edition.
