The Black Stars provisional 30-man AFCON squad announcement has been confirmed for next Monday 20 May. Assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko has warned they will be a couple of surprises.
Ibrahim Tanko confirmed the big day this afternoon, shortly after the Ghana Football Association had verified a preparation camp in Dubai on the eve of the June tournament.
''Ghanaians should expect a team that can help us achieve our goal at the AFCON. Tanko told Joy Sports. "I think there is going to be one or two surprises, of course, like any time,” said the 41-year-old.
With a preparation friendly against South Africa the only confirmed practice game so far, the Ghanaians will kick off the tournament against Benin on June 25.
